REFLEXOLOGY FOR TRAUMA & ADDICTION: THE PRACTITIONER'S LENS (3.5-hr) ONLINE
Saturday, June 8, 2024 11:00am-2:30pm PDT Online
“Trauma is not in the event, but in the nervous system.” ~ Peter Levine As reflexology therapists, we have a unique opportunity to directly connect with the nervous system of our clients—the very system that was and is affected by trauma and addiction. Chantel’s ½ day online workshop on Reflexology for Trauma and Addiction is a practitioner’s guide to better serving our clients by more deeply understanding ourselves. This workshop is divided into 5 segments.
A No-Mind Approach to Wellness (a guide for releasing the diagnosis in sessions)
A Compassionate Intake Process (C.I.P.) to assess and address the emotional underbelly of the client’s discomfort &/or dis-ease
Practitioner Health (Exercises for Self-Inquiry and Healing)
The Neurochemistry of Trauma and Addiction
Reflexology Guides (formerly referred to as protocols)
Students will learn:
Brain Mapping (one of four approaches to addressing the areas of the brain affected by trauma and addiction;
The 12 Archetypes of the Wellness Practitioner;
How to create a supportive and safe environment for those struggling with trauma and/or addiction;
How to identify arousal states in self and clients;
What survival adaptations are and how they manifest themselves as triggers in present day scenarios between clients and practitioners; and
Chantel’s additional reflexology and relaxation techniques, including heart holds, treading, tilting, sun bursting, and stirring the soup!
This class provides 3 ARCB CEs To receive this certificate, answer the following two questions and return them to Chantel HERE: 1. What are three things you’ll take away from this webinar? 2. What is at least one thing you learned that you’ll incorporate either for your clients or for self-care?
