THE BRAIN & PAIN

Monday, January 5, 2026

Learn about the physiology of the brain and its intricate and predictable network, pain persistence and perpetuation, and the possibility to move beyond our limited thought forms into spaces beyond “the network.”
Picture
The Brain & Pain (3-Hour Online Workshop)
In this 3-hour workshop we will explore the complex connections within the neurological system to help better understand how to tend to our own and our client’s experience of pain.

Students will learn:
  • How the brain receives, processes, retrieves, stores, and interprets pain.
  • How the Central Nervous System functions and how it's relevant to understanding pain perception.
  • What reflexology is, how it works, and how it is an excellent "interrupter" of pain.
  • The reflex points, areas, and techniques to address pain.
  • Anatomy and physiology of the brain, including lobes, cortices, etc.
  • The emotional component and how self-meditative states and a metaphysical approach may induce a shift in pain.

This reflexology master class will be live/online via Zoom and provides a certificate indicating 3 ARCB CEs.

IMPRINTS: REFLEXOLOGY FOR TRAUMA & ADDICTION

Webinar Recording

This class is designed for students and practitioners of reflexology, bodywork, energy practices, and anyone directly impacted by trauma and addiction. This class is FREE for those who have taken RTA: Level I or are currently enrolled in an upcoming RTA: Level I or Level II class.

In reflexology, we have a unique opportunity to directly connect with the nervous system of our clients—the very system that was and is affected by trauma and addiction. My triadic approach involves first discovering an easeful and authentic state (for ourselves); then, providing a compassionate intake process; and finally, using a bottom-up approach (reflexology).

In this on-line class, students will learn:
  • Understanding trauma and addiction and the imprints that reside in one's nervous system
  • How to address the areas of the brain and body that have been impacted by trauma and addiction

THE 12 ARCHETYPES OF THE WELLNESS PRACTITIONER

Webinar Recording

In this 90-minute class, students will learn the 12 archetypes most common in those in the wellness field. Students will identify which archetypes they most relate to and why. Being aware of ourselves and the, often hidden, characteristics at play when we are with clients can help to liberate ourselves from behaviors that neither serve the practitioner nor the client. We will also discuss the more conventional client/practitioner relationships and the sometimes subconscious dynamics and ways we engage with our clients.

Students will learn the qualities inherent in each archetype. The tendencies, drawbacks, and benefits of each will be explored.
Some of the archetypes we will learn include, the Healer, the Activist, the Witness, and the Mirror. We will evaluate each one; holding it up against our experience of ourselves in and outside of the session room.

Hours: 2 CEs (approved by ARCB)
How Long: 90-120 minutes
Cost: $25 (general public) $20 (returning student)

If you are a reflexologist, this class provides 2 ARCB approved CEs and certificate indicating 2 CEs.

NOTE: All past students of Chantel's live 2-day RTA workshops and all those currently enrolled in an upcoming 2-day workshop are invited to attend FREE of charge. Contact me directly and I will send you the video.
